Mackintosh of Kirkcaldy 1960s Metamorphic drinks trolley
Mackintosh of Kirkcaldy 1960s Metamorphic drinks trolley
A superb example of a teak drinks trolley made by Mcintosh of Kirkcaldy dating from the 1960s.
it screams the swinging 60s at there best and encapsulates the style of that cool period of our history.
A stylish and yet practical drinks trolley covered with quality teak veneer and features a lift up top to reveal a storage section for all your drinks and cool retro items to make your cocktails.
The top flips up to reveal bottle storage space which becomes a prep surface (white Formica ) for all the lovely cocktails and drinks that you’re going to enjoy.
This is what they call “metamorphic” furniture at its best.
This top is fully reversible and looks great from every angle with open storage and a draw lined with red velour (slight stain to that in one area ) The lined drawer is on the opposite side of the drinks trolly which is fully reversible.
This is mounted on the original orbital castors that are great quality as with the whole item.
The trolley has been rubbed back. It has been refinished in hard wax teak oil and has restored the shine to the teak veneer. There are some signs of wear but nothing major.
The Formica top shows virtually no scratches and the white Formica shows almost like never being used.
