Cesar Manrique (1919-1992) Tile panel with 3 tiles

Cesar Manrique Vintage Design tile panel

 We have a Beautiful tile panel by the Spanish artist César Manrique (1919 - 1992) who lived and worked mostly on the wonderful island Lanzarote in the Canary Islands archipelago.

Three tiles together form a fantasy mosaic fish on this decorative wall object.

The colours just totally  pop and are really striking. 

Manrique created several fishes in mosaic style on tiles and this one of the nine different species.

 The tiles have been mounted in a Black frame.

The Manrique signature can be found on the right hand tile.

Each of these panels are totally stunning and of a glimpse into the mind of this prolific artist.

We understand that Manrique taught / worked alongside Picasso before Picasso was recognised as the visionary artist we all know.
